Is Your Pain Telling You To Find A Bellevue Chiropractor?
Not every chiropractor was made equal. Sounds silly right, but they all look at the body in different ways. If every person had the exact same body this would not be important, but the fact is, we are all different so there has to be different techniques to address everyone. I have made a short list of things that you should be watching for when looking for your Bellevue Chiropractor.
1. You need to ask what type of “adjusting” they do. As stated above, not every chiropractor does the same type of work and it is important to find one that works for your body. The first way to know what type of care you should have is if you get sick to your stomach if some one cracks their neck or back. If you are you should not see a manual type chiropractor, and a more gentle approach would be more suited to you. The second way is if you like a “deep” or a “light” massage. If you like light massages you need to be seeing a Proadjuster doctor.
2. Do they look at just one part of the body or the whole thing? Because our skeleton is all connected something wrong in your foot could potentially hurt something in your neck. Do they examine you neck, mid back and low back? Did they assess your feet? Granted it may not be completely necessary to test every single joint of the body on every single person, but it should be something they are able to do.
3. Ask them how much emphasis they put on their continued learning. Science and research are constantly finding new things that are enhancing our ability to help our patients. If we are not learning about these advances we are not helping our patients. Ask them if they only go to the “required” amount of hours per year, or if they go above and beyond that as this is a sign of being on the cutting edge.
4. Do they do rehabilitation or prescribe exercises? This is a vital component to getting better. I tell my patients all the time “I can put you back together all day long, but until your muscles can hold you there you are going to have ongoing problems”. This does not have to be complex, but it does have to be a part of getting you better.
Remember, when looking for a Bellevue Chiropractor, do your homework. I know it will pay off!
